I just discovered Letterboxing today. My sister had what looked like different directions to treasures written in a notebook that I had picked up and flipped through, so I asked her what it was and she told me. As soon as I got home, I looked it up and became instantly fascinated, I told my husband, and we are going looking tomorrow!!! If anyone has any specific tips, such as how to join letterboxing groups, etc. please let me know!!!! You guys are all absolutely amazing and I can't wait to make my own letterbox!!! :)
I'm SO EXCITED!!!

Welcome to Letterboxing. It is a great and ADDICTING pasttime. I too became instantly fascinated and have not stopped since. Letterboxing.org and Atlasquest.com are the two best sites to learn about letterboxing, get clues, and talk to other enthusiasts. Read up on gatherings/events in your area and go to one, where you will meet alot of great people and get some great stamps. Enjoy!!!

I am new too and there are supposed to be 4 right here in my town. Alas the first one I tried to find I did not find. I am going to try the other 3...
It rained today so I couldn't do anything until later afternoon and I went to a car show first.
I used to love scavenger hunts when I was a kid...and car rallies so this ought to be neat.

Welcome! We haven't done any letterboxing in NM yet, but hope to do some in
AZ again later this year. Scavenger hunts & road rallies are also fun,
clue-based activities. In the past, some individuals in other areas of the
country have actually organized some fairly elaborate letterboxing road
rallies.
Have fun!

Wow!! That is so cool, what is a road rally? It sounds like a ton of fun. We went boxing out in the rain yesterday, it was wonderful and great and amazing :) It's such a great feeling to find the box. I love it. Thanks for all the well wishes everyone!

You should let me know when you'll be in AZ....I love to travel.
I did find 2 more here in town & one had a hitchhiker. I put togther a hitchhiker to take to Las Cruces so if I find the hostel in it goes.
So much to learn....
and that compass is a must now. The cactus did not like me yesterday....but I had a blast. By the way I was born & raised in Wisconsin! Next time I go back I'm gonna check out as many as I can. I have one more load of stuff to get from there.
Hugs,
ladyval
